Avoq Names New Partners and Strengthens Client Capabilities with Practice Reorganization

Washington D.C. — Avoq today announced Andrea Hagelgans, Maggie Bergin and Patrick Kerley have been promoted to Partner, marking a significant milestone in Avoq’s evolution and investment in the next generation of leadership.

The recent Partner promotions not only reflect the contributions of each individual but also their continued investment and commitment to Avoq. Each has demonstrated in their own way outstanding leadership and a deep commitment to our clients and our firm through driving revenue growth, contributing to thought leadership, leading high-performing teams and building trusted client relationships that shape our business now and in the future.

Alongside these promotions, Avoq has completed a strategic restructuring of its internal communications practices to strengthen client capabilities and outcomes, sharpen client delivery and drive measurable outcomes. The firm’s newly defined practice areas include Audience Intelligence & Performance, Creative & Production, Public Affairs, Reputation Management and Government Relations.

About the New Partners

Andrea Hagelgans is also co-lead of the Reputation Management practice and joined Avoq in May 2024 from Edelman, where she served as Managing Director of U.S. Social Issues Engagement. Her prior roles included Head of Corporate Reputation for the New York region and senior leadership of Edelman’s New York Corporate and Public Affairs team. Previously, she was Communications Director and Senior Advisor for Strategic Planning to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Maggie Bergin, who joined Avoq in 2021, has taken on the role of Head of Client Experience after successfully leading the firm’s Account Leadership and Project Management teams. Her background includes agency roles in D.C. and New York, brand development work at the National 4-H Council, and experience managing campaigns for major global and regional brands.

Patrick Kerley is leading a client portfolio inclusive of national organizations, came to Avoq in 2019 and has since led both the digital strategy and insights teams. Previously, he was EVP, Managing Director at BCW Global, where he advised on digital strategy and served as chief of staff to the worldwide CEO. He also held roles at LEVICK as a VP specializing in digital crisis communications and served as technology director for U.S. Senator Ted Stevens.

This leadership expansion and realignment reinforce Avoq’s long-term vision to provide impactful communications and advocacy strategies to move audiences and shape outcomes.
