Subject Matter welcomes Amazon HQ NOVA

Congrats NOVA!

This week’s news that Amazon plans to open HQ NOVA in Arlington comes as no surprise at Subject Matter. Don’t get us wrong – we didn’t know they would win. But we knew they deserved to.

Over a year ago Subject Matter was asked to support Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) and its economic development partners as they marshaled a robust data-rich pitch to convince the Amazon decision makers in Seattle that NOVA had what it needed to be named a major new headquarters. VEDP’s effort was a quiet one that was exhaustively researched and accompanied by compelling storytelling designed to bring the NOVA advantages for Amazon to life.

The case for NOVA is found on this website Subject Matter designed and developed for VEDP. It’s a strong one. At Subject Matter, we were proud to play a supporting role to VEDP and the local leaders of our region as they brought home the win. We wish Amazon well as it makes our town a second home. And we congratulate all those who toiled endlessly to see this to the successful conclusion – particularly Stephen Moret and Lori Melancon at VEDP whose strategic vision and attention to detail sealed the deal.

We are excited to have played a role in telling the NOVA story as one of the most livable, tech-forward communities in America.
