Cedric will join the firm’s Government Relations team.
We’re kicking off the 116th Congress by adding Capitol Hill veteran and experienced lobbyist Cedric Grant to the team. Cedric comes from H&R Block where he led public policy development and lobbying outreach to Democratic Members, deepening the firm’s financial sector expertise. Cedric joined H&R Block from Capitol Hill where he had served as Chief of Staff to Representative Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) for four years. In this capacity, he led strategy development and rollout for the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. Earlier in his career, he held senior advisory positions to Representative Charles Rangel.
In addition, Cedric has Executive Branch experience, serving as Director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the Department of Commerce from 2009 to 2013. Cedric will join the firm’s government relations team on February 1, just as Congress is expected to address a number of key issues.
