Washington, D.C. |

Paul has more than 30 years of experience developing communications strategy for political, corporate and advocacy campaigns and clients. At Avoq, he advises and leads message, brand narrative, content, online and advertising strategies.

Paul and Dan Sallick founded and led the precursor agency, Home Front Communications, for 17 years and shepherded its 2015 merger with Elmendorf-Ryan to form Avoq. Paul leads teams, directs initiatives, counsels clients and directs strategy at Avoq for a wide range of association, corporate, government and nonprofit clients.

Paul learned the importance of integrating strategic communications and policy advocacy while working on Capitol Hill and in politics. He served as chief of staff to Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), senior communications strategist for House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt (D-Mo.), and regional director, campaign director and political director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Paul splits his time away from Washington, D.C., on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and in northern Michigan in search of the perfect photograph.
