Shona acts as a trusted strategic partner, providing high-level executive support across a wide range of functions, such as managing complex scheduling and ensuring seamless coordination of the CEO’s priorities. Shona plays a key role in planning and executing critical executive meetings and company-wide events. She collaborates closely with Avoq leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives and drive operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Avoq, Shona served as an executive assistant at Suntory Global Spirits in Chicago. During her six-year tenure, she held several roles, most recently supporting the vice president of North America marketing. In this capacity, she provided critical support across office management and project coordination, managing complex calendars and facilitating detailed travel arrangements. She also coordinated company events and ensured seamless operations for multidisciplinary teams, while serving as backup support to the president and CEO. Before transitioning into the spirits industry, Shona built her career in the Chicago area, working with several commercial advertising agencies — an industry she considers her first professional passion.

Shona is a proud Midwest native, originally from Ohio, who spent many vibrant years in Chicago before settling in Washington, D.C. When she’s not spending quality time with those closest to her, Shona loves exploring new coffee shops, getting lost in a good book and planning her next travel adventure.
