Emma Walker

Emma helps direct and manage Avoq’s business development, marketing and internal communications. She works across markets and cross-functional teams to develop proposals, support pitches, aid in office operations and develop marketing strategies for our company.

Emma is the proud recipient of not one but two internal awards for excellence. This recognition was for her prominent role as a trusted resource at the firm. Emma started at Avoq as an executive assistant. She now holds a dynamic role working closely with executive leadership and the strategic marketing team.

Before joining Avoq, Emma honed her organizational and management chops as a general manager for a local restaurant. She developed a grounding in advocacy as well, completing internships for a nonprofit publication in DC and a housing advocacy group in Princeton, NJ.

Emma hails from central New Jersey (which she firmly believes does exist) and graduated from American University, where she double-majored in economics and sociology. When she’s not in the office, you can find her checking out new restaurants in Columbia Heights with her friends.
