Jimmy Ryan
With deep expertise in government relations, issue advocacy and strategic counsel, Jimmy specializes in the development of policymaker engagement playbooks on a customized basis for corporations, trade associations and nonprofits. His areas of expertise are Senate Democratic leadership decision-making and financial services legislative and regulatory policymaking.
Jimmy successfully helped a client win approval for undertaking a first-ever multi-pooled securitization on parts of a federal government loan program that will ultimately allow greater capital access to underserved minority and rural communities.
Jimmy served as managing partner of Elmendorf/Ryan, a boutique Democratic lobbying firm. He worked as co-head and SVP of Citigroup’s Washington, D.C., office. Prior to Citigroup, Jimmy worked 10 years for Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), managing his Senate floor operations in the leadership office and serving as his chief counsel and legislative director. During law school, he worked on the House Judiciary Crime Subcommittee for subcommittee Chairman Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
