Molly Scherrman
As chief operating officer, Molly oversees the day-to-day management of Avoq and its business operations with a constant focus on ensuring everything is running efficiently and harmoniously. With two decades of campaign, finance and team management experience, she brings a track record of success managing scalable operations, along with long-term strategic planning.
Molly specializes in campaign management, issue advocacy and message development, and has been a top advisor to several of the firm’s largest and longest-tenured clients. She has managed multi-faceted campaigns and works with clients and internal teams to develop strategic plans and solutions.
Prior to joining Avoq, she worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as the deputy director for the Iowa Caucus, and later transitioned to the National Director of State Surrogates. Originally from Iowa, Molly served as a fundraiser and political staffer for Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack and Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson, and later worked on Sen. Tom Harkin’s successful reelection campaign as deputy manager and finance director before joining a Midwest public affairs firm.
Molly currently lives in Brooklyn, has three dogs and a cat and is a forever Cubs fan.
