Jessie Merriman

Jessie supports the government relations team by performing critical public policy and legislative research and writing projects in various industries that impact our clients. She assists with legislative tracking and hearing coverage to help clients navigate the congressional landscape and advance their priorities.

Prior to joining Avoq, Jessie managed multiple sustainability initiatives for a Hawaii-based restaurant group. She also has four years of experience as a U.S. Senate staffer, working primarily on banking, social justice and education issues.

Jessie is from Maui, HI, and now lives in Washington, DC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and exploring the best restaurants in the city.
