Rebecca Shaw
Rebecca’s experience advising Republican members of Congress across the political spectrum has honed her expertise in member decision-making and communications as well as her passion for achieving stakeholder goals. Her legislative work — on issues ranging from financial services to agriculture to education and workforce development — contributes to Avoq’s ability to deliver versatile integrated strategy and execution across a range of sectors.
Rebecca has experience successfully preparing clients to testify before Congress, particularly in emerging industries. She has effectively ensured client interests are reflected in legislative language ranging from financial services to national defense.
Rebecca spent more than a decade working in the House of Representatives, most recently serving as chief of staff to former Rep. Trey Hollingsworth (R-Ind.). Previously, she served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for former Rep. Chris Gibson (R-N.Y.). Before her time on Capitol Hill, Rebecca worked at the Consumer Bankers Association. She has experience working on congressional campaigns across the country, as well as two Republican National Conventions.
Rebecca is from Cleveland, Ohio, and has years of disappointing sports memories to prove it. She lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband and their English Setter.
