Shane Michaelson

Junior Designer | Creative & Production
Washington, D.C. |

Shane is a graphic designer who helps clients realize their vision so they can share their message with the world. Shane’s work draws on sketching and mood board exploration to develop a strong identity, allowing each design to create an impact on those who interact with it.

Before joining Avoq, Shane worked for James Madison University’s Office of Student Affairs Communications and Marketing where he conceptualized, designed and delivered a wide scale of both print and digital media such as logos, social media graphics, advertisements, posters/flyers and handouts for clients across James Madison University.

Growing up as an Army Brat (beat Navy), Shane moved 6 times around the globe before settling down in Alexandria, Virginia. When not designing, you can find him competing in fighting game tournaments (specifically the Street Fighter series), grooving on his Fender Player Series Jazz Bass or pushing iron at the gym.
