Katie Coleman

Katie specializes in strategic communications planning and content and message development. She provides support to clients in a range of sectors, including finance, energy, economic and community development, nonprofit and philanthropy.

Prior to joining Avoq, Katie spent 15 years leading strategic communications in the nonprofit sector, including work with IFF, a mission-driven financial institution, and the Environmental Law and Policy Center. In these roles, she worked with financial industry partners, philanthropic institutions, real estate developers, clean energy companies and community-based organizations to tell asset-framed stories, reach target influencers and achieve strategic goals.

Katie is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area and currently lives in Oak Park with her wife, stepchildren and various pets. Her second home is her karate dojo, where she is both student and “sensei,” as well as competitor, coach and occasional social media guru.
