Jaclyn Rothenberg
Jaclyn specializes in public affairs, crisis communications, messaging and media relations. She works with clients across various sectors, including government, corporate reputation, sustainability and national security. With 15 years of experience, she understands the varying perspectives that federal, state, local and congressional leaders have on key issues and approaches her work with anticipation of how each stakeholder will react.
Before joining Avoq, Jaclyn served as the director of public affairs at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), leading the agency’s messaging and media relations strategies and serving the top spokesperson for the agency. She was also tapped to serve as the senior communications advisor for President Biden’s White House National Climate Advisor, focusing on environmental and resilience policies. Prior to her work in the Biden-Harris administration, Jaclyn was the Georgia communications director for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. She also served in senior communications and press roles for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. In 2013, she was named a City & State Rising Star.
Jaclyn is from Atlanta, Georgia. On weekends, you can find her spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Clinton and Carl.
