Patrick Hobart
Patrick specializes in strategic stakeholder engagement, campaign management and public affairs, with experience spanning national security, emerging technology and infrastructure. He has managed political operations at the national, state and local levels—bridging policy, communications and coalition-building to drive impact.
Before Avoq, Patrick served as director of external programming and public engagement advisor to the secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he led stakeholder engagement with industry, labor, academia and civil society and launched the inaugural external programming suite, rolling out a comprehensive speaker’s bureau, webinar series, fly‑in program and networking initiative designed to sustain engagement well beyond political transitions.
Priorly, he served at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and held senior roles on multiple political campaigns with established political consulting firms and Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. He also played a pivotal role in advancing President Biden’s participation in the 2022 Summit of the Americas—a high‑visibility international event that convened Western Hemisphere leaders to address critical regional challenges such as democracy, digital transformation, clean energy and migration.
Patrick is a Los Angeles native now living in Washington, D.C. You can usually find him running in Rock Creek Park, watching Formula 1 or negotiating household power dynamics with his very opinionated cat to whom he pays rent.
