Jeff Smokler
Jeff specializes in issue advocacy, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement across industries, with particular expertise in healthcare. He works with clients in corporate, government and nonprofit spaces.
Before joining Avoq, Jeff served as chief brand officer for Gravie, a General Atlantic-owned health tech startup in the employer health benefits sector. Prior to Gravie, Jeff was partner and president at Imre Health, a leading life sciences marketing and advertising agency. Earlier in his career, Jeff was a senior vice president in Weber Shandwick’s public affairs practice and led communications for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Jeff grew up in the Boston suburbs, where he was taught to always drive in the left-hand lane of the highway. He is the dad to three college-aged kids and two big dogs, and currently splits his time between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
