Valerie specializes in stakeholder strategy and engagement and coalition building across public, private and grassroots sectors. She has led impactful issue advocacy and grassroots campaigns, connecting with diverse domestic and global audiences to drive meaningful change.

Before joining Avoq, Valerie served as director of the Women’s Democracy Network and Private Sector Engagement at the International Republican Institute (IRI), where she directed IRI’s global network to advance women’s political leadership and participation globally and managed public-private partnerships. She previously led women’s programs at the RNC, managed Pennsylvania coalitions on the Romney campaign and served in the Bush 43 Administration.

Valerie is a recognized expert on women’s political leadership, speaking at events such as the OAS International Women’s Day Conference, Prespa Dialogue, All In Together Summit, WPLN National Summit and U.S. State Department forums.

Valerie is from Columbia, South Carolina, and now lives in Alexandria. You can typically find her planning her next trip or finding a hike with a view.
