Eric Herman
Eric advises corporations, institutions and individuals on high-stakes challenges. His work encompasses crisis communications, litigation communications, issue management, media relations, message development, corporate reputation, public advocacy campaigns and employee and labor communications. An experienced counselor, he creates and executes campaigns designed to advance his clients’ objectives, particularly at times of intense scrutiny by media, competitors, public officials and other stakeholders. In 2023 and 2024, Lawdragon named Eric to its elite list of “100 Leaders in Legal Strategy & Consulting” in recognition of his crisis work.
Eric has counseled clients in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, financial services, gaming, healthcare, higher education, media and entertainment, professional services, real estate, semiconductors and travel and hospitality.
Before his career in strategic communications, Eric spent two decades as a reporter, including stints at the Chicago Sun-Times, the New York Daily News and The American Lawyer. He spent much of his journalism career covering courts and legal affairs and is admitted to the Illinois bar.
Eric lives in Evanston, IL, having grown up there and in Los Angeles, Calif. He has three sons and a dog and loves jazz, soul and The Rolling Stones.
