Raiza Velez

Raiza supports clients across various sectors, including nonprofit, education and government. She helps them achieve their public affairs goals through media relations, in-depth research and strategic communications. Her work includes building messaging, developing a calendar for social media and earned media, and engaging with journalists.

Prior to joining Avoq, Raiza worked on several local, state and federal political campaigns. As a constituent service manager at former Rep. Joe Garcia’s (D-Fla.) district office, she spearheaded communications materials promoting the congressman’s work throughout the district and managed constituent services.

Born and raised in Miami, Raiza can be found chasing after her American Bulldog rescue, Luna.
