Olivia Kugiya

Olivia specializes in strategic communications, issue advocacy, legislative campaigns and content creation. She works with a variety of clients across sectors and subjects, including the environment, renewable energy, social justice, criminal justice reform and labor.

Olivia played a key role in the campaign to pass a New York State environmental ballot proposition in the 2022 election. After a surround-sound campaign featuring earned media, grassroots, digital, TV, radio and mail tactics, the proposal received overwhelming victory with a 67% margin, bringing environmental projects to life across the state.

Prior to joining Avoq, Olivia worked at Metropolitan Public Strategies supporting public affairs campaigns through digital strategy. She also served on a congressional campaign and at the New York City Homelessness Prevention Administration.

When she’s not at work, Olivia can be found playing violin in the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and coaching NYU’s ultimate frisbee team.
